During a visit to the office of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, led by the Managing Director, Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL), Dr. Ainojie ‘Alex’ Irune, the Honorable Minister, congratulated Oando on its successful acquisition of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), expressing confidence in the company’s capacity to drive significant growth in the nation’s oil production.
He lauded Oando’s potential to reach and surpass the status of an International Oil Company (IOC) and acknowledged the company’s recent production increase, barely a week after the acquisition; calling it a game changer for Nigeria’s energy sector.
The Minister also expressed optimism for Oando’s continued progress towards producing 100kboepd, a goal that, once achieved, will significantly contribute to Nigeria’s energy security and economic growth, marking a bright future for the sector.
