Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has mourn the death of former PDP Stewart Senator Senator Jonathan Zwingina.
According to Atiku, “It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of my brother and compatriot, Sen. Jonathan Silas Zwingina.
Zwingina, like every mortal, had his own shortcomings, but he was undoubtedly an advocate for democracy.
His heroic role as Director General of Chief MKO Abiola’s Hope 93 presidential bid will not be forgotten in a hurry.
As a founding member of the PDP, Zwingina made immeasurable contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development.
He will be sorely missed. On behalf of my family, I wish to express my deepest condolences to his family, the PDP, and the people of Adamawa, particularly those of Adamawa South Senatorial District, which he served with distinction.
May his soul find eternal peace”.
