NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To Victims Of Windstorm In Barkin Ladi, Plateau State

NEMA North Central Zonal Office Jos has delivered relief materials comprising food and non food items to the victims of windstorm in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State

The Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Eugene Nyelong presented the items on behalf of the DG, Mrs Zubaida Umar . He sympathised with members of the community directly affected by the windstorm stating that the items are to cushion the effect of the disaster and to provide relief to the affected persons from the Agency.

The Executive Secretary of Plateau State SEMA, Mr. Sunday Abdu who was represented by the Director of Administration, Mr. Chuwang appreciated the Federal Government through NEMA for responding to the plight of the people.

The paramount ruler, GOMKOK, said he is sure the distribution will be done accordingly as its the custom of that LGA and appreciated the Agency for its prompt response.

One of the beneficiary, Baba Markus Pam on behalf of the others thanked NEMA and prayed for more wisdom and safety for the staff of the Agency for responding to their needs.

Present at the event is the representative of the Chairman of the LGA Barkin Ladi, Director Social Sevices, Mrs. Jik Joan Kangyang, community leaders, DSS, security personnel, the press and the beneficiaries.
