Festus Keyamo Visits PASS, Lauds High Standard Of Training Facilities
The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo SAN recently visited Prime Atlantic Safety Services (PASS) in Ogun State accompanied by the Managing Director of FAAN Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku Onabanjo, and her executives. This visit included a facility tour and the commissioning of a new aviation training center.
The event showcased PASS’s firefighting training capabilities, featuring advanced simulators and high-quality safety equipment. PASS, a wholly Nigerian-owned company, specializes in providing health and safety solutions to Nigeria’s oil, gas, and aviation industries, with training and consultancy services extended to both public and private sector clients in Nigeria and other African nations.
In alignment with the renewed hope Agenda and The Honourable Minister’s KPIs , the establishment of the center offers substantial benefits for the aviation sector. These include:
Cost savings: The center reduces foreign exchange expenses by allowing mandatory certifications and training to be conducted locally, eliminating the need for international travel.
Human capacity building: It ensures that all aviation staff receive essential safety and firefighting training, a priority for the Minister, strengthening emergency preparedness.
- Public-private partnerships: This initiative supports local business growth and fosters collaboration between the government and private enterprises, promoting self-sufficiency in the Nigerian aviation industry.
This development represents a key step toward enhancing safety standards and building a skilled workforce within Nigeria’s aviation sector.
