The Council Chairman of IRU/Victoria Island Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, brought joy and relief to elderly residents of the council on Thursday as she disbursed cash palliatives to 250 beneficiaries as dividends of democracy.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Princess Adu reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through impactful programmes and projects within the LCDA. She announced that 250 senior citizens would each receive financial assistance of ₦20,000 making a total of N5,000,000 for all the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude, offering prayers and praises for the Chairman’s consistent support and care for the elderly in the community.
In a show of appreciation, the IRU/VI LCDA Artisan Association honoured Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu with an Outstanding Chairman Award. The award is in recognition of her unwavering support for artisans and her pioneering efforts as the first Chairman of Eti-Osa to officially inaugurate the Artisan Association.
