How I Worked In The Mortuary To Put Food On The Table – Patience Ozokwo

Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo, drew a lot of emotions recently after she opened up on her sacrifice as a mother, when things were tough and rough for her.

The actress narrated how she used to go to the mortuary to bath and dress up dead bodies, just to feed her children.
The actress popularly known as Muma Gee, said this, at a pre- premier dinner of actress Funke Akindele’s highly anticipated movie, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’

Muma Gee praised Funke, whom she called a detribalised Nigerian, who does not care where anyone comes from; so far you can do the job very well. She compared Funke to herself being a strong woman who is not phased by any challenge.

Muma Gee explained, “Funke Akindele is a very strong woman. I love strong women. I am a strong woman. I went through thick and thin to become who I am today. I used to go to the mortuary to dress dead bodies so my children could go to school and eat. I did a lot of things to make my family what they are today”

Adding, “ They used to say no prophet is appreciated in his home town but in my own case, it’s different because they saw me go through all these.
That’s the way I see Funke because when I see her, I see myself”
