PMA Foundation Lauds Ondo Obas for Courtesy Visit to Owa Palace
The PMA Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development and progress of Idanre Kingdom in Ondo State, has conveyed its profound gratitude to the Ondo State Council of Obas for their recent visit to the Owa Palace.
In a statement released by its media unit on Monday, the foundation commended the traditional rulers for their thoughtful gesture in condoling with the families of the late Oba Fredrick Adegunle Aroloye Arubiefin IV and the entire people of Idanre Land during this difficult time.
Recognizing it as a profound expression of solidarity and sympathy, the foundation stressed that the visit is an extension of heartfelt condolences to the families of the late monarch. Such a gesture, it noted, exemplifies the unity and strength of traditional leadership, particularly in times of collective sorrow and challenge.
The courtesy visit, led by the Chairman of the State Council of Obas, Oba Aladelusi Ogunlade, the Deji of Akure represented by the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko, Oba Yisa Adenipekun on Thursday December 19th, provided an opportunity for the traditional rulers to urge the kingmakers and relevant stakeholders in Idanre to expedite the selection of a suitable candidate to fill the vacant stool left by their late colleague.
According to them, any community with a prolong succession process usually lag behind in the scheme of things.
Welcoming the guests to the palace, the Regent of Idanre Land, High Chief Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, represented by Chief Emmanuel Adetuyi, the Odunwo of Idanre, expressed deep gratitude for their presence. He further disclosed that the process of selecting and installing a new Oba had already commenced in earnest.
Similarly, Olori Renike Aroloye, one of the widows of the late King, speaking on behalf of the other widows, thanked the visiting Obas for their compassionate act in standing with the families during this challenging time.
