The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, has launched the distribution of relief materials to victims of the recent flood disaster in Ibi/Wukari Federal Constituency, Taraba State.
Representing the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, Mr. Giwa S. Kurutsi emphasized the agency’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of affected victims and supporting recovery in the impacted communities.
The symbolic handing-over ceremony took place at the AYA J Warehouse near the Deputy Governor’s Office in Jalingo, Taraba State. Hon. Prince Ayuba Aboki Zaku Dampar, the Member representing Ibi/Wukari Federal Constituency, facilitated the relief materials through NEMA.
Speaking via his assistant, Danladi Damgiri, he expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and NEMA for their swift intervention. He pledged to ensure the materials reach the intended beneficiaries across the affected local government areas.
The relief materials distributed included rice, maize, vegetable oil, 3-in-1 beverages, seasoning cubes, and iodized salt. The event was attended by representatives from the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA) and community leaders from the affected areas.
