Angelheart Debuts Album Loaded with Captivating Tracks, Lyrical Mastery

Omoseyin Esther Taiwo, a talented upcoming gospel artist fondly known as Angelheart has unveiled her debut album, “Genesis.”

The three-track inspirational record which encapsulates messages of hope, faith, and gratitude centered on God and Jesus, has been widely acclaimed for its captivating melodies and lyrical mastery, resonating deeply with fans and gospel music enthusiasts.

At the album listening event held on Sunday at KWG Place, Mushin, Lagos, friends, family and fans who listened to the collection commended Angelheart for her creativity, dedication, and the hard work invested in the album’s creation. Many described ‘Genesis’ as a masterpiece that reflects her passion for music and her commitment to inspiring others.

While sharing a glimpse into the demanding five-year journey of bringing the project to life, the artist revealed the numerous challenges she faced, many of which could have led her to abandon the work. However, her unwavering belief in the vision, coupled with the steadfast support of her producer and those around her inspired her to persevere.

According to her, the core message of the song revolves around God and Jesus, masterfully presented across three tracks titled “Durodoluwa,” “Confusion,” and “Ijo Ope.”

“Take for instance, that ‘Durodoluwa’ is a song that encourages someone who thought all hope is lost. So by the time they listen to it, even with the lyrics, they should be able to get hold of themselves and see that God is the only source of everything. When they wait on God, they get everything.

“The Confusion is more like a thanksgiving song, like a testimony song to appreciate God. For instance, someone who is expected to be dead, and the person survived at last. Such person’s  enemy will obviously be confused and he in turn, will have the testimony of life.

“And for that ‘Ijo Ope’, a praising medley, is to give thanks to God. So everything is centered on God and Jesus,” she explained.

Speaking on how he discovered the gospel singer, Opeyemi Kokawole, CEO of KWG Entertainment who produced the music said she had discovered Angelheart’s dexterity, skills, talents and tenacity in music while she was a back up singer for him many years ago.

Opiano recounted, “After some years when we reconnected, it was easy for me to know that she was going to do well on the label.  So, I signed her on and of course, because it’s been a while she did professional music, I took her through trainings and showed that her voice and all were honest. And that is what brought about the good quality of music that we are hearing today.

Also reflecting on the challenges encountered during the production process, the record label owner confirmed that it took five years to produce the album due to financial inconsistency.

“sometimes, you might feel laid back because of the challenges, but when you have a vision, there’s always a provision for it. So, that used to be my drive and I kept moving on, kept pushing on until we are here today.

“There is a lot of things to be covered.

We are just doing this to launch ourselves, make a statement, let people know us first. Let them see the ability, the capability, the prowess, the substance and the significance we can add to the music industry. And that’s what we’re doing currently. So, I’m making a statement. We are going to do better than this in some years to come. It’s just a beginner platform for us and we are happy that we have started this way,” Mr Kolawole posited.

The album, ‘Genesis’ is expected to be released by February 2025.
