Enugu CP. Urges New Constables To Uphold Honesty, Discipline

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc(+), has urged newly passed-out Police Constables from the State to uphold honesty, dedication, and discipline as they begin their careers in the Nigeria Police Force. He made this call while addressing the Constables at the State Command Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.

CP Uzuegbu underscored that discipline is the bedrock of the Nigeria Police Force. He encouraged the new police officers to remain steadfast, exercise their discretionary powers responsibly, and avoid actions that could bring disrepute to the Force in the discharge of their duties.

The 252 General Duty Police Constables from Enugu State, are among the recruits trained and graduated from the Police College, Oji-River, on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Their graduation is part of the nationwide recruitment of 10,000 Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

The Police Constables will be deployed to their respective local government areas in Enugu State, in line with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM’s commitment to improving public safety and security through a community-oriented and people-centered policing strategy.
