PDP Secretariat Staff Condoles Makinde Over Elder Brother’s Death-

The Peoples Democratic Party, National Secretariat Staff yesterday, paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde in Ibadan, over the passing of his elder brother, Engr Sunday Makinde.

The seven man delegation led by the National Director of Administration of the Party, Engr Gurama Bawa, read a letter of condolence for and on behalf of the entire staff of the Party to the Governor and his family.

Engr Bawa seized the opportunity of the visit to thank the Governor for all his laudable infrastructural developments and other people centered achievements in Oyo State. He further thanked the Governor for standing firm with the Party, his support for the Secretariat and his roles in stabilizing the Party.

During the visit, Governor Makinde expressed his gratitude for the show of support and solidarity by the staff, stating, “I cannot pollute the well that I drank from, we must all work to preserve the PDP for Nigeria and Nigerians.”

Governor Makinde appreciates the effort of staffers of the Party’s National Secretariat, for taking time out of their busy schedules to honour him and his family during the trying times.

He urged the Party staff to continue to remain committed and keep up the good work of protecting the Party’s image, integrity, reputation and long standing legacies.

Governor Makinde’s statement underscores his commitment to the PDP and his desire to protect the party’s legacy.
