The Medical Director/CEO, Randle General Hospital, Surulere, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin has commended the Retirees of the hospital, for their positive contributions to the growth and development the hospital has achieved so far.
Sojinrin gave the commendation at the Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital, Iyun, Surulere, the venue of the event organised to celebrate the Retirees. Tagged: “Celebrations of Togetherness for Retirees”, the ceremony witnessed a large turnout of members of staff, families, friends and well-wishers of the retirees.
The Chairman of Health Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Atinuke Onayiga, in her goodwill message, praised the Almighty God for sparing the lives of the staff and retirees for surviving Y2024 as well as being alive, hale and hearty in Y2025.
She enjoined them to continue putting on their best at all times so the three hospitals can continue to experience further improvement for the sake of Lagosians who visit for medical attention.
In his own words, the Permanent Secretary of HSC, Dr. Eniayewun eulogised the Medical Director, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin and Management, for being able to handle the three hospitals – Randle General Hospital, Surulere; Maternal and Child Centre (MCC), Gbaja; and Femi Gbajbiamila General Hospital, Iyun – appropriately, and members of staff as well, for their immense contributions to improved services.
He, however, encouraged them not to relent in their efforts until an acceptable international standard is achieved.
Senior Special Assistance to Mr. Governor on Health, Dr. Adeyemi Toni, who also represented the Special Adviser (Health) Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, delivered the goodwill messages of Mr. Governor, and One Health Family.
She also congratulated the hospital Management and staff, especially the event Planning Committee for a job well done.
Representatives from the political camp of Hon. Desmond Elliot, also lend voices to the calls for the hospital staff to keep up the good work, even as more supports from the camp were promised.
The Retirees were adequately honoured with Certificates and gift items, for their long years of meritorious services to the hospital. Medical Director’s Awards were also presented to excelling Departments, like Dental, Laboratory, ICT, Opthalmology and Domestic, by Dr. Sojinrin.
Responding on behalf of the Retirees, Dr Oluwatosin Ogunkilede heartily thanked the Lagos State Government, the Medical Director and Management and the entire staff for the honour and recognition given to them, which goes to show that their long-year labour was not in vain.
Also in attendance were notable HSC Directors and Medical Directors of Hospitals of Odan, Isolo, Imota, Somolu, Ahmed Bola Tinubu (ABAT) Centre, Mushin, MCC Eti-Osa, and Island Maternity.
