COSON Chairman Tony Okoroji To Be Honoured At The Forum Hosted By Ojez

Renowned copyright advocate, former PMAN President, and award-winning musician, Chief Tony Okoroji, is set to receive special recognition at the prestigious The Forum by Ojez monthly awards ceremony on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The event will take place at the glamorous Ojez Sports Lounge, located within the National Stadium complex in Surulere, Lagos.
Chief Okoroji, who currently serves as Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), is being honoured for his outstanding contributions to the growth and protection of intellectual property rights in Nigeria, as well as his enduring impact on the country’s music and entertainment industry. A tireless crusader for artists’ rights, Okoroji has played a pivotal role in shaping policy and advocating for creators’ welfare over the decades.
This recognition comes as a prelude to the much-anticipated COSON Week 2025, scheduled to start on May 25th with the heavily advertized National Day of Prayer called COSON in the Church which will involve Nigerians across the world. The week-long series of events celebrates the vibrancy of Nigerian music and the progress of copyright protection in the creative sector.
According to the organizing committee of The Forum, all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure a befitting and memorable ceremony in Chief Okoroji’s honour. The Forum, known for celebrating excellence and leadership across different sectors, described the honour as “well deserved and long overdue.”
