2 key things Ralf Rangnick said after taking over as Man United manager
Manchester United on Monday announced Ralf Rangnick as their new interim manager.
The 63-year-old’s contract will see him take charge of the first team until June and then remain at the club for at least a further two years in a consultancy role.
Rangnick is replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was sacked by the club after suffering a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford.
Michael Carrick took charge of the side temporarily and played two matches where he did not concede defeat. He beat Villarreal 2-0 in Spain and forced a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Rangnick 8s is expected to resume immediately but he will have to sort out travel procedures.
However, Carrick will remain in charge for Thursday’s home game against Arsenal if Rangnick’s work permit is not processed in time

He expressed delight at joining the club.

- So much talent: Rangnick admitted that there are so much talent at Manchester United.
He added that all his efforts will be to help the players fulfill their potential.
“The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience. All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfill their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team.
“Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”
