UN Secretary General Reacts To Brutal Killing Of Deborah Samuel
The killing of Deborah Samuel, the year two student of Shehu Sagari College of Education, Sokoto has continued to open the floodgates of anger and outrage since last Thursday the incident happened.
The most recent of the reaction is from the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed. Mrs Amina condemned the killing and called for justice to be done in the case.
Deborah was brutally murdered by her classmates who accused her of making a blasphemous comment about Prophet Muhammed.
Describing her killing as ”senseless”, Ms. Mohammed wrote;
Follow us on social media”Justice must be done for the senseless, brutal killing of the young, Deborah Samuel in Nigeria. Religions should not be misinterpreted to preach violence when they promote peace. My prayers are with the family and for the repose of her soul.”
