As PDP Was Celebrating Shekarau’s Defection In Kano, Wike Is Giving Them A Death Blow In Port Harcourt- Fani-Kayode
Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked his former party, the People’s Democratic Party over their rousing celebration of the defection of Ibrahim Shekarau into the party on Monday.
Shekarau, a former governor of Kano State made his defection to the opposition party on Monday after a disagreement between him and his ex-political associate, Musa Kwankwaso who is the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party.
Shekarau and Kwankwaso had both agreed to work together to produce the later as the next president of Nigeria in 2023. However, things went sour between them after Shekarau was said to have been denied of certain advantages and opportunities in NNPP.
Realizing he could not achieve his mission in the party, he chose the PDP as his next bust stop after weeks of meetings, discussions, speculations and consultations with PDP leaders.
On Monday, Shekarau made his official defection in Kano amidst a loud and boisterous ovation.
Responding to the development on Tuesday with a post on his verified twitter handle, Femi Fani-Kayode said the PDP were busy celebrating the defection of Shekarau into their party in Kano but in Port Harcourt, governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is busy flogging and giving them a death blow by saying they want to come back and loot.
He worte:
“As PDP is celebrating the defection of Abubakar Shekau (Oops! Sorry, I meant Ibrahim Shekarau) into their party in Kano yesterday, Nyesome Wike flogged them mercilessly & gave them a death blow in PH by saying they wanted to come back “to loot” & “eat the remaining one.
“The mighty triumvirate of Wike, Ugwuanyi & Makinde, (representing SS, SE & SW) are the backbone of PDP. Without them PDP is NOTHING! With Wike’s damning speech BAT, our much-loved “City Boy” & Kashim Shettima, the “Golden Boy” of Nig. politics, are cruising home to victory.
“They should start preparing their acceptance and swearing-in speeches today. “
