You Are A Failure Who Has Been Denied Access To Aso Rock – Wike Tackles Amaechi Over Savaged Comment In P/Harcourt
The lingering crisis between the former minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike does not seem to be coming to an end anytime soon considering the war of words currently going on between the two politicians.
Amaechi, who is the immediate past governor of the state, had taken a swipe at the state governor on Saturday while making a speech at the funeral of Alabo-Graham Douglas, the traditional ruler of Akuku, Toru local government area of the State.
Amaechi accused Wike, who was conspicuously absent at the event, that he (Wike ) thought that the state government would take responsibility for everything about the Kalabiri Chief and would get recognition for that.
While responding to the statement on Monday during the commissioning of the remodelled RivBank building in Port Harcourt, Wike said the former governor no longer have access to the villa.
He told Amaechi that this should be the last time he would talk about the state. He described the former minister as a total failure who should not even be speaking when it comes to Rivers state matters. Wike accused Amaechi of blocking what should be coming to Rivers State from Abuja when he was a minister.
“This should be the last time that you (Amaechi) will talk about this state because you are a total failure as far as this state is concerned. A total failure. Even what is supposed to come to us, you blocked it but we didn’t bother.
“You think you will not finish as a minister, you have left. I hear he can’t even enter Villa now. All those periods you intimidated people with police and army people are over. You used to tell them, ‘The President is angry with you’. Now, go and tell them,” Wike said as he commissioned a remodelled former RivBank Building in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
