Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has arrived Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, following the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu (JP).
She died at the early hours of today, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the age of 90 years.
The development came barely 24 hours after the governor visited Mr Ajose Kudehibu, the former Ondo State Head Of Service and Chairman, Ondo State Civil service commison who lost his wife early in the week.
Akeredolu had visited Kudehibu at the family house in Oba Ile Estate, Akure to commiserate with him and the entire family over the sad occurrence.
However, little did the legal luminary know that it was his turn to receive condolence visitors. The governor was hit with the death of his mother on Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after paying a condolence visit to the former head of service.
Governor Akeredolu, who is the first child of the deceased, was received by his siblings and close friends at the Kopindogba house of their late matriarch, located at Orogun area of Ibadan.
Already, Condolence Register has been opened for the late Lady Akeredolu, while sympathisers have continued to throng her residence to commiserate with the family.
