Ooni Of Ife Marries Long Time Concubine As Fourth Wife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has married his fourth wife, Princess Ashley. The ceremony was coming weeks after the monarch sealed a marital deal with Queen Tobi Philip.

The latest bride, princess Ashley, is said to have been a long time concubine of the monarch.

As a result of her marriage to Ooni,  Ashely now ceases to be a princess, as she finally takes up the title of a Queen.

The king’s family members are also said to have moved to the late Prince Adeniyi Adegoke’s family house situated on Olubose Street, along Ede road in Ile Ife where the event took place on Friday.

Just like the wedding of Queen Tobi Phillips, the Ooni was said to be nowhere in sight at the wedding ceremony. His chiefs, the royal guards and the royal staff were there to represent him.

The good news of Princess Ashley’s marriage to Ooni has sparked excitement amongst many as they noted how the Princess deserved a place on the King’s throne.The notable King before Ashley, already has three wives who he married within two months and Princess Ashley would be the 4th, as the incoming queens have reportedly been the King’s concubine before he married Queen Wuraola Otiti and Queen Noami Silekunola.According to reports, after Princess Ashley, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi is the soon-to-be 5th wife of the Ooni, which the King has known long before he ascended the throne in 2015, while Princess Temitope Adesegun, is the alleged soon to be 6th wife of the Ooni.
