If you plan to escape the present economic crisis bedeviling the country, you simply appear to be joking. This seems to be the proper description for a man who was rescued by Osogbo residents after attempting to end his life by jumping into Osun River and creating panic among residents in the area.
According to OSUN DEFENDER, it was gathered that the man identified as Oladeji Saheed has tried to commit suicide by jumping into Osun River in Gbongan/Osogbo road around 7am on Monday.
The man had reprotedly gone to the river without the knowledge of family and friends.
He was said to have been sighted when he attempted jumping into the river and was quickly rescued by the residents, Osun State Ambulance and Fire Servics whose prompt intervention save the ugly situation.
As at the time of filing this report, the man is currently receiving medical attention.
