We Die There! Tinubu Reacts After Being Asked To Step Down By PDP, Atiku Over Drug Trafficking Allegation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has stated categorically that he will not apologise for the crime he didn’t commit and will not withdraw from the presidential race.

Tinubu was reacting to the call made by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday that he should step down from the race over the forfeiture of funds to the United States Government.

According to the PDP spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, the APC candidate was no longer eligible to contest the 2023 election on account of his purported indictment and the forfeiture of $460,000 to the US government.

In a swift response to the call in a post via his Facebook page on Sunday night, the director, Media and Publicity of the APC presidential campaign council, Bayo Onanuga, described the PDP and its flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, as jokers.

Onanuga said the PDP and its candidate are acting a comedy script for them to ask the former Governor of Lagos State to step down from the 2023 presidential race.

The APC chieftain asserted that the call made by the PDP has shown that the party and their candidate are behind the campaign of calumny against Tinubu and the ruling party, having realised that it has no sure path to victory in the February 2023 presidential election.

He, however, said the move by the PDP to stop the APC candidate from contesting the 2023 presidential election will fail, adding that Tinubu will win the election, retire Atiku to Dubai and finally stop him from perennially contesting for the Presidency.

He wrote: “The  fragmented and emasculated PDP turned itself into an accuser, prosecutor and judge today, asking Asiwaju Tinubu to quit the presidential race.

“The PDP spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, quoted an ill-digested section 137 of the 1999 constitution and decreed that Asiwaju should step down.  He claimed that by the provision, Tinubu is not eligible to contest the Presidential election in Nigeria.

“His call followed the release of the 30 year-old  US  document its agents and media lapdogs have been spreading. Now at least we know that the party and their candidate, are behind the shameful campaign of calumny.

“Mr. Ologunagba, stop dreaming!. Your party can go to court, if it likes. But what we know is that Asiwaju is unstoppable, by the grace of God. He will contest the election, win it,  retire Atiku to Dubai and finally stop him  from perennially chasing the elusive presidential trophy.”
