Rhodes-Vivour Reacts To US Worries On Voters Intimidation, Suppression In Lagos, Kano & Other States
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has reacted to the concern expressed by the United States Mission on how voters were supressed and intimidated in Lagos, Kano and other states during the last March 18th governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The US mission had shortly after the election raised concern on how several voters were disenfranchised, intimidated, supressed and consequently denied the right to vote for their preferred candidates.
It wrote on twitter: “The United States is deeply troubled by the disturbing acts of violent voter intimidation and suppression that took place during the March 18 polls in Lagos, Kano, and other states. “
Reacting to the statement through his verified twitter handle on Wednesday, Rhodes-Vivour said no matter how hard the APC tries or how many influencers they pay, the fact that they spread hate and oversaw the most violent voter suppression tactics will never go away.
The statement reads:
“No matter how hard the APC tries, or how many influencers they pay, the fact that they spread hate and oversaw the most violent voter suppression tactics, will NEVER go away.
We experienced it, the world witnessed it, and the victims felt it. Soon, you’ll be made to account for your crimes against humanity.”
