When It Comes To Dealing With Difficult Client, Portable Is Every Lawyer’s Nightmare- Inibehe Effiong
Human Right lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has reacted to the controversy trailing the popular Nigerian Singer, Habeeb Okikiola fondly known as Portable.
Inibehe described Portable as one of the difficult and complicated clients who makes cases difficult for laywers to handle.
The statement comes after the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed plans to investigate and prosecute the singer for acting irrationally and insulting police officers performing their legal duties at his bar.
Adejobi had in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday, revealed how Portable threw caution to the wind when a team of police officers was deployed to his bar to get him arrested.
The singer was said to have insulted the officers and put up an Unrully behavior towards the officers who were simply carrying out their duty.
The Force Public Relations however vowed that the sazu crooner will be prosecuted accordingly and if found guilty, he will face the penalty in line with the law.
Reacting to the development via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Inibehe Effiong said: “When it comes to dealing with difficult clients, Portable is a nightmare to every lawyer.”
The lawyer went on to say that the singer was a type of client who will do and say things that are contradictory to a lawyer’s strategy.
He tweeted, “When it comes to having problematic, difficult and deviant clients, Portable is every lawyer’s nightmare.
He is the type of client that will be doing things and making comments that are counter productive to a lawyer’s strategy.”
