Davido Speaks On Why He Dedicates His Song ‘Legend Can Never Die’ To Those He Had Lost 

Popular Hip Hop star, David Adeleke, fondly known as Davido has spoken about dedicating a song to those he lost.

The singer made this known while granting an interview to Beat FM on Friday.

According to him, he believed the spiritual presence of those he had lost in the past are still very much around him and there is need to immortalize them.

Among those he listed that he had lost in the past include his mother who died when he was barely ten years old. His bodyguard, his friend and also, his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke who died towards the end of last year.

Considering his love for those loved ones, he decided to dedicate the song for them. He revealed that they are legends and ‘Legends Can Never Die’ which is the title of the song.

He also disclosed that the song is dedicated to people out there who have lost one or two people they loved.

He said, ”Like over time. Even everybody knows that I lost my mother at 10. Losing my best friend and my bodyguard in one to two years, and then losing a child and all that together.”
