Being With Prisoners On Hard Floor Is Better Than Sitting In Devil’s House With Politicians- Seun Kuti

Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has reflected on his time in police custody.

RovingNaija reported that the embattled singer was arrested on May 15 after he voluntarily submitted himself to the Lagos police.

The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba, had ordered for his arrest on May 13 after a video of him slapping a police officer surfaced online.

Seun was detained and arraigned before the court. He remained in police custody until Tuesday, May 24, when he was released on bail.

Reflecting on his time at the prison in a post shared on his Instagram page, Seun stated that putting him on the hard floor in the midst of prisoners, was way better for him than sitting in the “devils house with politicians.”
