Just In: Rivers State Govt Did Not Give Us Money For LG Elections – RSIEC 

The Rivers State independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC says its attention has been drawn to certain social media reports purporting that the Executive governor of Rivers state His Excellency Sir Siminialayai Fubara has given money for the LGA Elections. 

In a public announcement signed on Friday  by its Director public affairs and civic education, Sarah Hope Menndy Amgbare, the Commission says the social media reports are deliberate distortion of facts by mischief makers and as such should be disregarded.

She however, says the general public will be duly notified as soon as RSIEC is ready to kick start the 2024 election process.
