National Grid Restoration Commences Hours After Suspension Of Strike

The Transmission Company of Nigeria said it has begun the restoration of the National grid to restore electricity supply hours after the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress suspended its indefinite strike.

TCN said power recovery has begun with the Shiroro Hydropower Substation which will then restore supply to Katampe substation.

TCN in a statement on Monday confirmed that the nationwide blackout was caused by the organized Labour’s planned strike.
