Shocking Photos: Stepmother from hell disfigures twins’ bodies with multiple hot knife cuts

The quick intervention of Hon Oluwatosin Elijah Ilesanmi, Councilor representing Ward F, Ifelodun LCDA, last weekend, saved the lives of a set of twins who were at the throes of death in their home at no 6. Agbamu street, Amukoko, Ifelodun , LCDA, Lagos

The twins, who received hot knife cuts from their stepmother, were said to have been locked up in a room with the injuries for days, but for divine intervention and neighbours who were alarmed by the cries of these poor children.

RovingNaija News gathered that the Ifelodun LCDA lawmaker was on a walk round his constituency when he saw a crowd gathered in one of the streets, precisely Agbamu street. On inquiry, he was told how the woman in question who is now on the run, had lacerated the bodies of her step children (twins) with a hot knife and locked them up in the room over a yet to be disclosed issue.

Irked by what he heard, Ilesanmi immediately swung into action as he rescued the children and took them to the hospital for treatment. The children we gathered, are receiving treatment at the Ifelodun medical centre.

The father of the twins Emmanuel Edun known as Baba Caleb was arrested by the police as his wife, the alleged mastermind of the dastardly act has gone into hiding since the children were rescued. Edun who was arrested by officers from Pako police station, Ajegunle , has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigations

When RovingNaija News visited the compound where the unfortunate incident took place, some of the tenants refused to comment on the issue with excuses that they were not around when it happened..

However when contacted, the DPO of Pako Police station confirmed the incident, but said the suspect Mr Emmanuel is no longer in their custody as he has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

At the health centre, the HOD pediatrics Ward D, Nurse Beatrice and the MD said the victims are already in the care of government and are receiving treatment “we do not expose our patients to the public” and so cannot allow access to the children who are going through severe pains”, she explained.
