How Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Gambari, others took COVID-19 vaccines

Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff had received his dose of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine was administered to him by the Chief Nursing Officer of the State House Clinic, Esther Ibrahim.
Professor Gambari took his own shot of the vaccine following President Muhammadu Buhari, who had received his jab on Saturday, this was the first dose of the vaccines publicly given alongside Vice President Yemi Osinbajo during a ceremony held at the New Banquet Hall of the State House, Abuja, with members of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, senior government officials and journalists present.
The public vaccination which had some frontline health workers present in order to reassure Nigerians of the safety and the efficacy of the vaccines, also covered foremost diplomats. They were later presented with a vaccination card by the Chief Medical Director of the State House Medical Centre, Dr Hussain Munir.
Apart from Professor Gambari, a former military administrator of Lagos and Borno states, and the current Chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd), also received his jab alongside Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijjani Umar and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.
At the event, Gambari said the vaccination was painless, as he explained that he followed the footsteps of President Buhari.
He advised eligible Nigerians to take the vaccines while assuring them of its safety and efficacy.
He said, “The more Nigerians are vaccinated, the more we are safe.”
In his words, Marwa while congratulating Nigerians on the arrival of the vaccine said the it is painless and he feels good. He urged Nigerians to take the vaccine, expressing optimism that the country will soon be COVID-19 free.
