Wale Edun Visits Yobe State, Commiserate with Victims of Recent Terrorist Attack

The Honourable Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, along with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, National Security Adviser (NSA) Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Mr. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, and other top officials, visited Yobe State on Friday.

They met with Governor Mai Mala Buni and expressed solidarity with the people of the state in light of the recent devastating terrorist attack that claimed many lives.

During his address at the Yobe State House, the Honourable Minister extended his deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the attack. He prayed for peace and expressed hope that such tragic events would not recur. “This incident is a reminder of the importance of ensuring the security of lives and property, which is a key mandate of President Bola Tinubu’s administration,” Edun stated.

The Minister also highlighted that the presence of the National Security Adviser was crucial to ensuring that the improved security situation in Yobe State is not compromised by this tragic event. He reassured the people of Yobe that the president Tinubu-led administration, through the Ministries of Finance and Budget and Economic Planning, would explore ways to provide financial support and intervention to the affected communities.

HM Edun concluded by expressing his gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his leadership and resilience in the face of such adversity. He commended the people of Yobe State for their strength and perseverance during this difficult time.
