Wale Akinya: A Grassroots Mobilizer Ready To Make Wave On Familiar Turf

Judging from his robust credentials, professional excellence and deep insight, Wale Akinya, an Idanre born corporate titan and grassroots political mobilizer is far from ordinary. He is a force of nature with an unrelenting passion for community development.
Born over four decades ago into Akinya’s dynasty of Irowo Ward in Idanre Local Government, Wale grew up to witness the struggles and triumphs of everyday people.
These experiences instilled in him a deep understanding of grassroots challenges, fueling his desire to become the change his community needs. As a perception manager and community icon, he has built a solid reputation as an exceptional leader and a trusted voice for the people.
An alumnus of Nasarawa State University and Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, where he earned a Postgraduate Diploma and a Higher National Diploma, Wale is currently serving as a Federal public servant with the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Abuja.
He is the Liaison Officer for the PCC at the National Assembly, overseeing the Commission’s affairs within the Assembly and ensuring a harmonious working relationship between the two government institutions.
During his tenure as an aide to the distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure (Allover), who represented Ondo State Central Senatorial District in the 7th and 9th Assembly, Wale utilized his position to secure employment opportunities for Idanre youths.
His leadership journey began during his student years. In 2005, he served as the Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Idanre Students (NAIS). By 2008, he was the President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS), Iree Chapter, and subsequently, a Senator representing his chapter in the national body of NAOSS during 2008/2009 set.
As an individual committed to community development, Mega as fondly called has contributed significantly to the progress of Idanre. Either by spearheading initiatives to provide solar streetlights or organize financial supports for business women, Wale has proven that leadership is not about titles; it’s about service.
A member of the Idanre Development Assembly, he has actively participated in various initiatives aimed at the community’s development. His ability to connect with diverse groups stems from his genuine interest in their stories. He doesn’t just listen, he takes action
