The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Agency( LSMTL), as well as the Office of Educational Quality Assurance Lagos State (OEQA) , have formed an evaluation partnership at ensuring that all Structures used as citadels of learning across the State , are safe and devoid of building disasters that could cause harm to pupils attending such schools.
At a meeting on Thursday 6th February with six executives of OEQA led by its Head of Research and Development, Dr. Sulaimon Ogunmuyiwa, the General Manager, LSMTL, Engr. Olayinka Abdul, assured of a symbiotic association in assessing 281 structures used for school buildings across the metropolis, in order to establish their safety to lives, as part of her Agency’s mandate on quality assurance to infrastructures.
This rekindled relationship is part of the Agency’s commitment towards re- enacting the 2006 law on a quinquennial Non- Destructive Tests to all standing structures across Lagos State, for their structural integrity towards securing lives and assets against disaster.
