Immigration To Partner Shippers Council In Creating Efficient Maritime Business Environment

The Nigerian Shippers Council had the honour of hosting Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos Seaports/Marine Command at Nigerian Shippers’ Council Headquarters.

This visit was a step toward fostering collaboration and ensuring a secure and efficient maritime business environment.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Command Comptroller Clementina Ogbudu, Psc, Pcc, emphasized the need for strong partnerships with the NSC to enhance service delivery and uphold their mandate.

In response, ES/CEO of the Council, Akutah Pius Ukeyima Esq., MON, FCILT, FInsTA, Ph.D., reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to improving efficiency in maritime trade. He also highlighted the critical role of inter-agency collaboration in breaking down barriers and promoting seamless operations at the ports.

He noted that Nigeria Immigration Service plays a vital role in regulating immigration at our ports, and the engagement underscores the importance of working together to achieve shared objectives.
