Aisha Falode Appointed as Special Advisor on Communications for Niger Delta Sports Festival

Aisha Falode has been named the Special Advisor on Communications to Dunamis Icon, the project consultant for the Niger Delta Sports Festival (NDSF).
The announcement was made by Itiako Ikpokpo, Lead Consultant and Co-Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee of the festival, who expressed confidence in Falode’s ability to enhance the festival’s value through her extensive media experience with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
Falode, a dynamic leader and accomplished journalist with over 25 years of industry expertise, has a proven track record in sports media marketing, business ownership, and strategic leadership.
According to Ikpokpo, “The Niger Delta Sports Festival is not just about sports; it’s about our culture, our people, and primarily, our youth. Bringing Falode on board will significantly boost our strategic communication of these values. Beyond her professional achievements, she is also a proud daughter of one of the Niger Delta states.”
Prominent sports journalist Mitchel Obi was among the first to endorse Falode’s appointment and extend his congratulations. “It is the right fit. She ticks all the boxes for the role, both in her professional capacity and her extensive media reach. Additionally, she understands the Niger Delta story,” Obi told NDSF Media.
Falode is also the CEO of MSports, a company specializing in delivering exceptional sports content and impactful marketing campaigns.
She was elected to the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in 2022 and served as the Director of Competition for the Aisha Buhari Six-Nation Cup. From 2017 to 2022, Falode chaired the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
