WhatNext Africa Congratulates New NYSC DG Brig-Gen Olakunle Nafiu

WhatNext Africa has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Brigadier-General O.O. Nafiu on his assumption of duty as the 23rd Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). His appointment is a testament to his distinguished service and unwavering commitment to national development, it said in a statement of Thursday.

Brigadier-General O.O. Nafiu, is an accomplished artillery officer from Ileogbo in Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State, brings a wealth of leadership experience to the NYSC. His decorated military career includes serving as Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, and previously, to the late Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja. A graduate of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College, his strategic vision and leadership are expected to further the NYSC’s mission of fostering national unity and youth development.
In collaboration with the NYSC, WhatNext Africa engages corps members as facilitators and mentors, extending its reach and impact. This partnership enables corps members to go beyond traditional teaching roles, offering career guidance, mentorship, and support to help students achieve their aspirations.
