BREAKING: Thugs attack Sunday Igboho’s Residence, kill one

The residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho has once again come under attack by suspected thugs, leaving one person dead.

According to Politics Nigeria, several others were injured in the attack that took place in the Soka Home of the pro-secessionist in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The incident was confirmed by Igboho’s lawyer, Yomi Aliyu who said the thugs stormed the residence on Saturday and matcheted many loyalists and associates of Igboho killing one of them. The cause of the attack is not yet known.

It can be recalled that on July 1, 2021, officers of the Department of State Security, DSS, stormed the residence around 2 a.m and engaged in a serious gun battle with Igboho and his associates.

Two of Igboho’s men were killed while 12 others were arrested.

Igboho himself has been in detention in Benin Republic since 2021 after he was intercepted by security operatives while attempting to flee to Germany with his wife, Ropo, after being declared wanted in Nigeria.

He was remanded in prison for over 6 months where he is said to be facing trial for immigration-related offenses, amongst others.
