Seyi Allen Music Machine Unveils ‘Yellow Girl’

Chinemerem Amadi aka Yellow Girl, may not be a popular name in the music industry but she surely is a budding talent that is about to take over the music scene with her brand of music which she tagged, ‘Reggae afro pop’, with a taste of dancehall.

Known before now with the stage name Janekrest, her meeting with ace music producer and manager Seyi Allen, may have set her on the part of greatness as she has also rebranded with a new name ‘Yellow Girl’. The name Yellow Girl according to the talented singer, was a divine revelation which her boss, Allen, said fits into her personality and the brand she hopes to build in the industry.

A passion that started in 2004, though officially she went professional in 2007, Yellow Girl says she has written and recorded many songs she is yet to release. Though she has released a couple of them including an eight track EP.

Yellow Girl has been through thick and thin in her music journey. She has suffered humiliation and rejection because of her colour, being an albino but she has refused to give up. At a point she brought out her recorded CD’s and written songs to burn them because of frustration but she heard a voice that warned her not.

The creative singer believes strongly in her dream that one day she will make it to the international stage and have the opportunity of collaborating with Jamaican singer Lauryn Hill.
Seyi Allen described Yellow Girl in these words.
