Atiku Has No Personal Issue With Wike But While Pursuing Peace, He Has Moved On- Atiku’s Aide

Phrank Shaibu, the special assistant to the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has hinted that the former vice president has moved with his campaign over the lingering disagreement between him and Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

Shaibu made this revelation while featuring on Channels TV Sunday Politics.

While explaining that Wike has just one vote like every other voter in Nigeria, Phrank Shaibu stated that the governor’s impact in Rivers State cannot affect Atiku’s victory in February.

He revealed that though Atiku has no personal issue with the governor aside the fact that Iyorchia Ayu must resign as chairman, he is still pursuing peace and has however moved on with his campaign.

He said: “Atiku Has No Personal Issue With Wike But While Pursuing Peace, He Has Moved On”

Also speaking further on Channels TV, Phrank Shaibu said: “The interesting thing is that our campaign has moved on. We said in the beginning, it’s about Nigeria, it’s not just about the PDP.

“Atiku Abubakar does not have a personal problem with him [Wike]. I read in the media a few hours ago when he said ‘we’ve almost closed the window of negotiation with the PDP.’

“Common, you may choose to close the window but the door is still there because my candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is not a criminal. So, he does not need to pass through the window, he comes through the door.

“The issue is PDP is one big family. It’s not about Governor Wike. Governor Wike is just one governor, one member of the PDP and he has only one vote so also are the other four governors who are members of the G-5 governors.”

Shaibu is however hopeful that one day, governor Wike and the remaining four governors will come together with the campaign council and work for success of Atiku Abubakar at the February 25 poll.
