What Peter Obi Told Femi Kuti During His Visit To Fela Shrine In Ikeja

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Peter Obi has paid a surprised visit to Femi Kuti, son of the late legendary Afro beat master, Fela Anikulapo Kuti at the Shrine in Ikeja on Wednesday.

The visit was coming shortly after Femi reacted to the threat to his life by Obi’s supporters who allegedly took him up on social media for choosing to be politically neutral.

Femi Kuti had expressed his disappointment over the development and called on the Obidient to thread with caution.

In a short video which was made available on his Facebook and Twitter page, the Afro beat singer said he does not support either Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi. He noted he is entitled to choose whoever he wants to support and he can decide not to pitch his tent with any presidential candidate.

He said nobody cannot force him to be Obidient to any politician.

Apparently unsettled by the development, the former governor of Anambra State was said to have flown in to Lagos on Wednesday afternoon for a special visit to Femi Kuti over the issue.

In a short video which was posted on twitter by the Nigerian Tribune, Peter Obi told Femi Kuti that he heard all that happened.

He said that is not the society we want to live. He disclosed that the campaign must be based on issue and he would not support any form of threat, blackmailing and mudslinging from either his supporters or anyone else.

Peter Obi told Femi Kuti at the point of departure from Fela Shrine.
