JUST IN: D’banj Released After 3 Days In Custody

Popular Nigerian music artiste, Daniel Oyebanji popularly known as D’banj, has been released from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related offenses Commission (ICPC).

Recall that D’banj has been in custody since Tuesday when he was arrested on an allegation of diversion of N-Power funds, a scheme established by President Muhammadu Buhari to address the issues of youth unemployment and empowerment, and help increase social development.

The music star was said to have connived with some officials to divert funds meant for beneficiaries of the scheme, an allegation he denied through his lawyer.

However, after days of grilling, D’banj was granted bail.

An ICPC source told newsmen that the artiste was allowed to leave the commission’s headquarters on Friday after he fulfilled his bail condition.
