Internal Crises: PDP Summons Governors For Crucial Meeting

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under the aegis of the PDP Governors Forum are currently locked in a closed-door meeting over a number of national issues.

Feelers from the meeting indicate that the political crisis in Rivers State is top on the agenda.

The emergency meeting was summoned by the Chairman of the PDPGF, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

Some of the governors in attendance in the meeting holding at the Oyo State Governors Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, include: Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Dr. Dauda Lawal( Zamfara) Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi) among others.

Media reports yesterday indicated that the PDP summoned an emergency meeting scheduled to hold in Abuja on Tuesday (today). 

It was gathered in Abuja, on Monday that the main item on the agenda is the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
