It’s Wike’s Attitude That Cost Us The Presidency, Peter Obi Left PDP Because Of Him – Dino Melaye

The spokesman of Atiku’s Campaign Council, Senator Dino Melaye has levelled more allegations against the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

Wike stirred the hornets nest on Tuesday when he described Dino Melaye as a comedian who is not fit to be the governor of Kogi State.

The governor who revealed this to Journalist during a media briefing, posited that to be a governor is more than acting drama on TV and Melaye does not have the capacity to be a governor.

He warned the People’s Democratic Party not to give him the governorship ticket or else, the party will lose the election.

Dino Melaye while reacting to the statement said Wike has never supported the PDP in any election conducted so far.

The senator of the 7th Assembly said it was Wike’s attitude that cost PDP the presidential election. It was also his attitude that forced the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi to leave the party a week to the primary.

He said: “It is Wike’s attitude that cost us the presidency. Peter Obi left the PDP because of him.”

The former federal lawmaker made this known while featuring on the Wednesday edition of Arise TV Morning Show.

He emphasized that Wike has never supported PDP, adding that he supported Governor Yahaya Bello’s candidate against the party’s candidate in the Kogi Central senatorial election, Natasha Akpoti, in the just concluded National Assembly elections.

“It is Wike’s attitude and character that cost the PDP the presidency. Peter Obi left our party because of Wike. Because Wike supported the Chris Uba faction during the delegates’ Congress [in Anambra]. And that was why he [Obi] left the party.

“Wike said today ‘if the party picks Dino Melaye as their flag bearer, I will not support PDP in Kogi State’. He has never supported PDP. When Natasha [Akpoti] ran this time around, he was supporting Yahaya Bello’s candidate against Natasha in the just concluded 2023 elections” Dino Melaye said.
