CAF Champions League: Enyimba Suffer Heavy Defeat In Sudan

Enyimba International are at the risk of crashing out of the CAF Champions League following the heavy 3-0 defeat they suffered in their first-leg play-off tie against Al Merikh on Wednesday.

The People’s Elephant conceded two first-half goals and another in the second-half to be left with a mountain to climb in their quest to make it to the money-spinning group stage of the continent’s flagship club competition.

Saif Terry was the tormentor-in-chief for Enyimba; scoring all the three goals in Wednesday’s encounter in Omdummarn

Saif was on target in the 6th, 44th and 90th minutes.

Fatai Osho’s men now have to work extra hard to turn the tables against their Sudanese foes in the second leg billed for Aba in a fortnight.
