You Can’t Be In Power Forever- Former PDP Chairman Tackles Wike Over Threat To Crush Atiku’s Allies In Rivers

Former PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus has fired back at Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike over his threat to crush anyone who supports Atiku Abubakar from his State.

Wike has been at a loggerhead with Atiku since he lost the presidential ticket of the party at the primary conducted in Abuja in May. He also lost out in the race for vice presidential slot as Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State was preferred ahead of him by the presidential candidate.

The incident has apparently planted a seed of bitterness in Wike and he has continued to rattle and ready to strike anyone who is found connected with the gang up against him in the party.

Uche Secondus, the immediate past chairman of the Party appears to have been one of the people Governor Wike is seeing as enemy within. The former Party chairman is believed to have formed his alliance with Atiku and he is currently rooting for his victory in 2023 with or without Wike’s contribution from Rivers State.

On Saturday, Governor Wike while holding an event in Omagwa in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State threatened to crush anyone working with Uche Secondus in the local government or anywhere in the state.

Speaking at the Venue, the former presidential aspirant said there are people who were once loyal to him but they have now shifted their loyalty to the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

He accused them of going to Abuja to hold meeting with people he tagged as enemies of the State.

He vowed to use all his might to crush them. He explained that he would even leave his real enemies first and finish the people from his state who go behind him to support his rivals in Abuja.

“So all of you going to Abuja to hold meetings with our enemies in the state, I’m going to finish you to the last”, he said.

Responding to the threat, the former party chairman, Uche Secondus through his media office reminded the governor he won’t be in power forever.

Secondus condemned Wike’s disdainful threat that he will crush anybody who works with him in support of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

“No condition is permanent and nobody can become Governor of a state or President of this country forever.” Secondus said.
