DSO: Lai Mohammed visits Gov Sanwo-olu
Members of The Ministerial Task Force on Digital Switch Over led by its Chairman the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Saturday, paid a courtesy call to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu at the State House, Marina.
According to the minister, the visit is in furtherance of the planned switchover of Lagos to the digital age which is scheduled for April 29.
“We are starting the 2nd rollout of the DSO in Lagos on the 29th of April…The DSO also comes with the capacity to create jobs for the youth.
“More importantly, while waiting for the DSO to rollout, we have also created an enabling environment in the form of amending the Broadcasting Code to allow for better local content,”he said.
While presenting a free TVNG set top box to Gov. Saneo-olu, Alh. Mohammed highlighted the special feature of the decoder.
“The unique thing about our program is that you don’t pay subscription. Once you acquire the set-top box, it’s free view all the way.” he said
