CAF Confed Cup: Enyimba go for broke in Libya

The only Nigerian club side remaining on the continent, Enyimba have a crucial and difficult task ahead of them Thursday night.

Apart from managing to win their two home games, the Peoples Elephant have not been just ordinary in their CAF Confederation Cup group stage matches.

Now set for their penultimate game in the group stage, Enyimba need to step up their game if they are to make it out of their group where all four teams still have a chance of progressing depending on the results secured.

Indeed, the encounter in Benghazi is a crucial one for Enyimba having crashed to a 0-3 away loss to ES Sétif in Algeria 11 days ago.

The Aba side risks being eliminated if they lose Thursday night.

Hosts Al Ahly Benghazi’s first international match in their home country this season ended goalless against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates two Match-days ago.

That should give Enyimba some hope that they could even go a gear further.
