Woman Narrowly Escapes Being Lynched After Attempting To Abduct A Child In Ondo

A middle aged woman (name unknown) on Wednesday morning escaped lynching by mobs in Ikare Akoko after attempting to kidnap a young girl at Semu-Semu motor park in the town.

It was gathered that the suspected kidnapper seized the opportunity that the mother of the victim was not around when she picked up the child, a one and half year old girl.

As she was going, a neighbor of the victim’s mother, noticed the strange woman and raised the alarm, leading to her running away before she was caught.

While searching her bag, an android phone showing her call logs and messages was retrieved. The suspect has however been handed over to an Ikare Akoko divisional police station.

Efforts to speak to the outgoing divisional police officer, Superintendent of Police Olatujoye Akinwande was not successful.
