2023: Details Of Tinubu, Jonathan’s Closed Door Meeting Emerge

More information has emerged on the meeting between Former President, Goodluck Jonathan and the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC on Tuesday night in Abuja.

The Former Senator and Governor of Lagos visited Jonathan in the company of his vice, Kashim Shettima and five other APC Governors namely; The Governor of Plateau State and director-general campaign council, Simon Lalong, Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawale, Jigawa State governor, Abubakar Badaru and Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

According to sources at the venue, the meeting was part of a nationwide consultation with critical stakeholders. Tinubu formally told Jonathan about his Presidential ambition and sought his support.

“Truly, he (Jonathan) is at home with us. He was very receptive. You know the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) no longer accords him that respect.”

“He is more comfortable with us. He was happy that Asiwaju visited him. He is at home with his aspirations.”

Both leaders also discussed widely on various national issues and the forthcoming general elections.

Prior to this meeting, Tinubu had also met with Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo  and Ex-head of state, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida.
