What Peter Obi Discussed With Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala During Their Meeting In The US

Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Peter Obi has met with the Director General of the World Trade Centre, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on Wednesday.

Information about the meeting was disclosed by the former Nigerian Minister of Finance through her verified twitter handle on Thursday morning.

Peter Obi has been away from Nigeria in the last two weeks. The former governor of Anambra state embarked on a foriegn tour to meet with his supporters and Nigerians in Diaspora.

Some of the countries he was said to have visited and met with Nigerian  Nationals include Germany, London, Canada, Rome, Switzerland, United States and others.

Peter Obi was said to have used the opportunity to raise substantial fund needed for his presidential campaign through crowdfunding.

While writing on her verified twitter handle this morning about their meeting, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala revealed that the meeting between her and Peter Obi centred around Nigeria’s Economic recovery and the role of trade in achieving that goal.

She wrote: “With Governor @PeterObi at the @WTO discussing Nigeria’s economic recovery and the role of trade.”

Founder of Centre for Values in Leadership, and one of the leaders of Labour Party (LP), Professor Pat Utomi, recently revealed that the crowdfunding portals Nigerians in the Diaspora planned to launch for Obi, would be unveiled next week.
