2023: Check Out The Highest Academic Qualifications Submitted By The 4 Leading Presidential Candidates & Their Running Mates
With the recent information about the academic profile of the four leading presidential candidates for the 2023 presidential election, it is save to conclude that Nigerians will be privileged to be ruled by at least, a university graduate in 2023.
The independent National Electoral Commison in line with its timetable had on Tuesday released the qualifications of all the 18 candidates jostling to take over the rein of government from president Muhammadu Buhari after his tenure.
The electoral body had initially released the details in June but it was marred with controversies and legal fireworks as some of the candidates were made to answer some pertinent questions relating to the certificates they claimed to have possessed.
On Tuesday, INEC release the final document and according to the commison, this last one will be the final list on academic qualifications it will release about the candidates. Any court judgement against any of the candidates regarding their certificate will automatically nullify them from participating in the election.
According to INEC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presented Bachelor of Science degree, while his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima presented General Certificate of Education (GCE).
As displayed by the commission, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presented Master’s degree, while his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, presented MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) degree.
While Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), presented Bsc as his highest qualification, his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, presented PhD.
Both Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and his running mate, Bishop Isaac Idahosa presented PhD degrees respectively as their highest qualification.
